Day 2 for me ( its actually day 3 of the event, but i didnt compete the first day) at Pozo was pretty radical. We started the slalom where my mast snapped right before the start of my first heat. The PWA had a very lax water security and it took me a while to get in, much longer than the 6 minutes I had available, so I got dead last that round. Next round, I went over-early in the semis. I think I was a bit anxious after that bad first round and then in the losers final was coming in second to the first mark with a good chance to overtake and lost control and went down hard, I managed to pass two guys for a 18th position. So off to a poor start, but I know I'll climb back strong. Finnian won race 1 and he's probably pretty stoked , but Ross Williams with a 2nd and a 3rd was looking real strong. Antoine dominated the 2nd final, before we switched to the waves. As per my predictions from yesterday, I was wrong about Campello and Koster. Koster absolutely smoked Campello and Campello sailed pretty bad. Ceballos vs. Seadi, I called a split decision for Kauli, I didnt see if it was a split decision, but Jonas took the win, so wrong there as well. Between Dario and Alex, both those guys sailed under their skill but Dario got the better waves and won the heat, once again I was wrong. Victor vs. Klaas... This was a weird one. I guess one of Victor's waves pushed him through, Victor sailed very poorly for him and Klaas sailed quite good. Looke like Klaas maybe had it, but victor won. I was right in that Victor won, but it definitely wasn't a clear margin which I had predicted yesterday. In the semis, it seemd like everybody was falling but all those guys are so good that they still pul some big moves. Koster sailed head and shoulders above everyone and cruiesd into the finals, Dario smoked Victor on wave scores but failed to produce any high jump scores. Victor also looked weak in this heat, but once again, somehow got through. I thought Dario had that one. THE FINALS..... What Can I say, the guy that used to be the best at Pozo, got a thorough spanking by a 15 year old kid. Koster sailed as good as you could possibly "mindsail" Pozo and this was confounded by Victor having his 3rd consecutive "struggle" , falling a lot and just looking out of sorts. Philip, the new king of Pozo, 15 years old, humble , mellow and an incredible talent with many years ahead..... very exciting!

Adam, to ansewer your question about which board I was riding. Its an old Pozo prototype of mine, that I pulled out of the dust and spraypainted a Cabo Verde flag on. Its working sick and I expect to fight back hard in the losers round
