Lets start blogging
Thanks Bogo! Wow, I just turned 34 and got my first blog up and running. Couldn’t have done it without the help of our main man Bogo. he pretty much holds my hand through every technical thing on the computer… as well as my personal Macintosh teacher, Robby Swift ( actually he’s the whole PWA’s mac teacher)….. well it’s Dec. 19 at 19:35 here on Ilha do Sal. I’m running late for our Angulo Cabo Verde company Christmas dinner. Looking forward to the buffet at the Djadsal. I’ll have to cutback after the New year, but for now, I’ll live it up. Enjoy our new site. It’s just the beginning. We have a very exciting season ahead of us. Should have a couple videos and pics we’ll start downloading and I’ll do my best to keep you up to speed with all the happenings and goings on with Angulo….. One first big news is that my dad just passed his second level PGA test in Florida … Congrats Dad! The rest we’ll insert as often as possible.
Talk to you all soon!
Josh

Merry Christmas,
The new site does look good. Looks like you have been busy adding to the board line up as well.
I read you are sticking to your single fin boards as twins are not right for you. You gave the Amigu a fair shake. Well that short and skatey design is what is being copied by everyone else. They just improved it by adding a fin. For cross on riding, especially, I think it is hard to beat. Good luck on the PWA next year.
Sincerely,
At
At , I personally can’t limit myself to sticking to one particular type of board. It’s my responsibility as well as my pleasure to test and develop new product, so it’s safe to say that I’ll have a few twin fins in my personal quiver. It’s definitely true that I have chosen up to this point and looking towards the first wave event of the year to ride single fins as my mainstay board. It’s funny how we go through changes in life. 15 years ago I was at the forefront of the last twin-fin movement and I swore by those boards and wouldn’t ride anything else. Nowadays I am riding more traditional outlined single fins , although we are experimenting more and more with slightly shorter boards. I just want to be real careful not to lose the glide and momentum that the extended waterline in longer boards provide, but we are finding some nice balances, so it’s going well. Let us know when you want to get an Angulo and we’ll make sure to get one to you wherever you are in the world.
Aloha,
Josh
I also must agree whole heartedly – this new website is awesome! Just like the fantastic line-up of new boards coming out this year with thier new, hot, fresh shapes and graphics!
Angulo will definately be the up and coming brand that everyone will be talking about.
Fantastic job Bogo & Josh!! Great start to the new upcoming year – 2009 is going to rock!
Aloha,
Bill
Hi Josh
Nice new site, good work..
Ive currently got the Chango 82gt nice board. What are the changes to the 09 82?
cheers
Howzit Mack the newer Chango has a little volume taken out of the tail in the winger and swallow tail we added to free it up just a bit more in the smaller waves, also we’ve shortened the newer model a bit to give it a little more whip in the smaller surf…. we’ve kept the smae rocker , bottom shape , rails and foam flow, as we were really happy with the existing 82, so we didn’t want to make any drastic changes but rather refinments…..
Merry Christmas!
Josh
Salut Josh,
Good Luck on the PBA in 2009 (Slalom and Wave)
Yo BOF, I can read your French, but I prefer to write in English.. To start with the Creola is perfect all-around board … plutot freestyle wave, qui marche auusi bien for freeride, but definitely is a performance board that has great waveriding possibilities as well as nice stability for tricks and maeuvers. Probably its greatest strength is that it starts planing without any effort from rider.. very easy planing board….I believe that our Creola, with its freestyle wave capabilities will be one of our strongest selling products this year as it covers a very wide range of sailing conditions.
Thanks,
Josh
Thank you Josh !!!
Powerbox or USbox on the Creola ?

Welcome to the blogosphere!! I’m very proud to see you represent Cape Verde when you ride waves. keep it up and good luck to your career.
Amilcar, it’s an honor and joy to represent Cabo Verde. Cabo Verde reminds me in many ways of my homeland of Hawaii, except Cabo Verde is it’s own country, where Hawaii is part of USA. When I came here 11 years ago , I fell deeply in love with the people and lifestyle. Through the ups and downs I’ve experienced in this country, I have gained an even closer understanding of Cabo Verde and Africa and it doesn’t look like I will ever pull out my roots from Cabo Verde. I will continue to travel and hope also to spend more time in Hawaii in the future, but I will always have roots in Cabo Verde…….. e bo sabe, ser Kriol e um cosa so nos prop ta entendi !
Abraco,
Josh
Hi Josh,
habby new year, health and luck for 2009!
I’m really stoked to see Angulo releasing a twin Fin Board for ‘09!! My favorite is the “88″!!! Can you please write a couple of words about the new design and the conditions it was build for ( looks like a board for smaller, mushier euro-waves!???).
Greetz from Germany and thanks,
Alex
Alex, The Victory should definitely be “the ” board for fun , small waves. It will carry its speed well in small mushy surf as well as work great at ricks on the waves.
Thanks,
Josh
Hi Josh,
Thanks for the reply!!! I’ m looking forward to buy one of your decks this year. I was thinking about he chango 88 ( for bigger down-the-line conditions) and/or the victoy 88 (for small side/side-on conditions)as well. Can you post a couple of pics of the two boards I mentioned. Is there a distribution for germany? Would be pretty cool to have a closer look at these boards before buying a pig in a poke…
cheers, Alex
